When Democracy gave way to Slavery to Genocide! Delhi: Police Detain Jean Dreze, Annie Raja at Silent Protest for Palestine

When Democracy gave way to Slavery to Genocide-

Democracies across the globe, especially those who proudly state they are democracies, United States, Germany and India, need to change their profile and state upfront they are no longer democracies but slaves to genocidal Israel.

A hilarious and sad reality, a small group of activists including Jean Dreze and Annie Raja protested carrying banners asking for ceasefire in Gaza and marched through Delhi streets towards Israel Embassy, there were no slogans raised, some of the protesters who were carrying the banners where seventy plus but the drive to assert humanity still strong in them. It was sick and pathetic to watch young Policewomen show their strength manhandling senior activists and other male Police seemed gleeful about their achievement.

What a way to go, India, probably the Great Prime Minister feels this would be the chosen path of Mahatma Gandhi, after all Prime Minister of India is so proud of stating his love and closeness to Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology.

Oh, Great Prime Minister, from my limited understanding the only one image that comes to my mind, is the Salt Satyagraha by Mahatma Gandhi, where thousand unarmed Indian faced fatal onslaught by the British force. The march was for right to freedom in action and thought, right over natural resource was an expression of need for freedom in all its dynamics including assertion against injustice. To recall the words of Mahatma Gandhi towards the end of the march, “I want world sympathy in this battle of right against might”.

In this great country, you are having police manhandle activists standing against genocide. Funny are you stating through your governance action, that India now defends the right to Genocide over that of freedom of expression. The West have their historical guilt, which is being arm twisted by Israeli government to get support and aid for Israel’s genocidal action.

Oh, Great Prime Minister, what is India’s justification, for replacing assertion of justice with right to ensure Genocide. Yes, I understand one stoops low for trade benefits, but does it have to be that low that Indians stop taking pride in being an Indian.
