Israel starves Gaza: The Great Famine

Israel Starves Gaza, an excellent, comprehensive look at the complex reality of " Israeli ensured" Famine in Gaza, like many first, this would be first Genocide that's not only shown live 24x7 but all that it has evoked has been silence from the West, with US making their support Genocide clear, when it used its veto power eight times to silence calls for ceasefire. Same hands that stopped a ceasefire, scream out loud, it is Hamas that is not willing to end the war. Against such blatant false narrative this documentation on "Israel Starves Gaza" plays a crucial role in facilitating critical thinking on the issue.

Starting the analysis with shots on how a starving population seeking aid was silenced, once it happened during air drop of AID, as parachutes malfunctioned the AID fell on starving individuals running towards AID, and the fall was fatal. In another instance when AID trucks reached a spot, after a long break in supply of AID, hungry Palestinians ran towards the AID trucks only to be silenced by Israel's live bullets. Hundreds were killed in the incident, the explanation given by Israeli forces, the soldiers got scared seeing so many individuals, thought they would be attacked (by unarmed civilians, when the Israeli soldiers were inside fully weaponized tanks) and so Israeli forces wanted to finish the threat.

Experts indicate purely through starvation and spread of diseases, even if there is a Ceasefire, around 80, 370 Palestinians could die in case the situation remains the same and with disease factored in the number of deaths could be 193,180.

But if the onslaught escalates then with disease factored in the death could be 259,660.

According to Alex De Waal, Executive Director World Peace Foundation, Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC ),  uses colours to indicate different phases: green (normal), yellow (Stressed), Orange brown (Crisis), Red (emergency, with children already dying, Dark Red (Catastrophe, and this is soon to be Gaza's situation.

Another concept brought forward by Tom Dannenbaum from Fletcher School at Tuft's; Famine is a crime of societal torture. The same explained by Alex De Waal, " As people are forced to do anything that they can to survive. Just to get food and other essentials, they are required to violate important social taboos and practices. They cannot preserve all those mental societal activities that maintain societal bonds, that keep a family or society together".  He gives example of having to deny food to families close by in order to feed one's own. This in the long run could lead to societal disintegration".

When looking at these realities within the goal of Israel to carry out Annihilation strategy, there seems to be a perfect fit. For when in famine, those directly affected will have health concerns beyond the famine, both physical and psychological. The impact on foetus is also significant, with adverse health consequences throughout life. These facts would be music to Israeli government and Israeli forces for they would see it as a way to disable the youth resisting occupation in future. In addition, if social disintegration can be ensured, then Israel would not have to worry about the future.

But then when people have nothing to lose, then they may just come together and stick it out to keep Israel out of Palestinian land.
